CAN THE BEMER CAUSE HARM TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SENSITIVE TO SO-CALLED ELECTRO-SMOG, HAVE METAL IMPLANTS (TEETH, KNEES AND HIP JOINTS) OR HEART PACE MAKERS?
The quick answer is a big bold NO! If you can survive on this planet earth where the natural magnetic field strength is between 50 to 70 micro Tesla as well as in an environment of cell phones (high frequencies, low energy), microwave ovens (high frequency, high energy content), electronic gate opening devices (electronic signals), Bluetooth, WiFi and any domestic electrical appliance, you have nothing to fear of the BEMER’s pulsating DC (Direct current) signal. Nothing!
- It is a very weak signal (max 120 to 150 micro Tesla on the applicators, on the B.Body Mat it is only 35 micro Tesla on Level 10)
- It is a broad band signal
- It is a DC signal, ie not alternating like utility power from your outlet
- It has a pulse repetition rate of about 33 pulses per sec that stimulates the vasomotion and nothing else. The pulse itself is a patented signal shape.
- All modern pace makers have to be able to withstand 5000 micro Tesla otherwise it is not permitted to be implanted. Yet it is always advisable to check first with the cardiologist if the used pace maker can handle it. As a lay person you should not advise a “patient” one way or the other. Just beware. When in doubt – don’t use the BEMER. Not that it would cause a malfunction of the heart, but if something does happen, the BEMER Device will be suspected to be the Cause. It is a situation that can easily be avoided.
Note also that one micro Tesla is only a millionth of a Tesla!
A typical MRI Scan at a hospital will expose you to 1 to 3 Tesla and in special research MRI applications even double digit Tesla values.
There are other queries in this regard: Isn’t the BEMER similar to 1) a cell phone, 2) a microwave oven, 3) an electric blanket, 4) a hair dryer or other electrical appliances?
The answers can be made rather complicated for people who may not be very versed in Physics. Electro-magnetic fields major attributes in this context are a) Power output and b) the frequency at which they operate.
The signals radiating from a cell phone and a microwave oven are alternating fields at very high frequencies which contain enough energy to heat up tissue, even if ever so slightly.
The Cell phone emits at a frequency between 900 and 1800Mhz with a 2 Watts peak power. However, the signal power is adjusted to the lowest possible strength by command from the Cell Tower to save battery life. In the urban environment the effective average turns out to be in the milliWatt range; 20 to 100mW. (milli = thousands)
The microwave oven operates at 2450Mhz but much higher Wattage (at frequencies similar to Bluetooth and some forms of WiFi but not their power of course). However, the Wattage of a microwave oven is considerably more powerful: Depending on the make, it can consume up to 2000 Watts but the actual power used to heat the food will be about 800 to 1000 Watts.
The BEMER’s signal is a pulsed direct current signal in the micro-Watt range when you lie on the body mat, but the device itself may use up to 30 Watts from the mains socket. Hence, it is a completely different story. The signal has a different characteristic to anything else you might use in your home (hair dryers, CD players, TV, electric drill, electric blanket etc) The BEMER treatment does not transfer energy into the body to heat it up, but rather it stimulates the vasomotion of the small micro blood vessels.
In summary: if you are concerned about so-called Electro Smog then rather worry about your hairdryer than the BEMER signal! This would be like comparing the effect of the turbulence in the wake of a massive 100 000 ton ship under full power to the splash of a small pebble into your pool!
