THE BEMER EFFECT IS NOT A PLACEBO EFFECT. IT WORKS EXTREMELY WELL ON HORSES, CATS AND DOGS. BESIDES HUMANS.
Often people confront us that the only reason why the BEMER apparently works is due to the placebo effect. A placebo effect is simply a treatment or a pill that has no therapeutic effect but because people believe “it works” they do indeed feel better.
There is of course a placebo effect. There will always be one with every treatment of a conscious person even if a very small virtually non-detectable one. That happens even when you go and visit a medical practitioner and you are give a positive bill of health. You are relieved. You are happy.
Would we now have to stop going to a medical practitioner for examination and treatment? No, but…. Whatever the Doc prescribes probably lets you feel hopeful that “this should work
for you”. Of course it might not and then the usual answer is let’s try something else….
Now animals is another matter. An animal will not contemplate what it has been given; it only
knows the result and it will display it clearly to you, the owner.
The animal, be it horse, cat or dog will very authentically show in what state it finds itself: recovered to its normal self or still in pain, uncomfortable, happy, content, sick or whatever. The animal’s owner or finally the Vet will make an assessment and look at the animal’s behaviour and in most cases will at least evaluate / diagnose the state of the animal.
We found over the last decade or two that BEMER treatment is equally successful on animals as on humans, if not more so. We humans are rational, analytical and prone to reason our observation or opinion, so we tend to analyze every symptom and assumed change in our physiology. On the one hand that is how it should be – we are thinking people. But too often we are also emotional and can draw the wrong conclusions. Interpretation of what we see is of course a very human trait in any profession. That is why competent training, systems thinking and experience are crucial for diagnosing problems correctly.
Animals on the other hand are not influenced by the opinions and assessments of other people may they be veterinarians, experienced owners or simply persons giving an uninformed opinion. Animals are completely honest and display their feeling of wellbeing – or not – in their body language and behaviour.
